CONDITION:

Please view all photographs for the best understanding of condition. There are typical signs of age, use and wear. The cover is rubbed along spine joints, head and tail of spine, and a little along the edges of both front and rear covers. Some light surface marks/scratches. Spine cocked/slanted. Cover holding firm, hinges strong. Text block good, age toned throughout. Appears lightly used, with very little signs of creasing or corner folds. Binding strong. No previous owner inscriptions. 

Overall remains in good reading condition, with typical signs of age and use in a vintage paperback. A collectible edition of Tolkiens wonderful story, with a striking wraparound illustrated cover by Pauline Baynes.
