There are some notable signs of age, use and wear. The leather hard cover has surface wear, discolouration and marks. Edges of the boards and top/bottom of the spine show shelf wear. Binding remains tight and firm, although some weakening of the inner hinge noticeable, both boards remain firmly attached. Marbled end papers a little dulled and worn.
Page edges are gold gilded with a dotted gauffered design, some dulling and scratches noticeable.
There is the usual age/use related page discolouration/creasing/foxing dotted throughout. All text is clearly legible. Overall text block binding appears strong and complete.
There are no previous owner inscriptions, notes or markings.
Overall remains in very good reading condition considering it’s age, with the described clear signs of age, use and wear.
