Uncommon miniature prayer book,

Hallmarked in Birmingham, 1905 by L. & S. Levi & Salaman, Birmingham based silversmiths.

The book measures 5cm x 5.5cm, 1cm thick.

CONDITION:
Please view all photographs for the best understanding of condition. Generally in great condition considering its age, compared to other examples. Attractive burgundy leather binding in good condition, very slight rubbing. Gilt title on spine nice and bright. Silver panel on upper board in good condition, fixed firmly in place, slightly tarnished patina from age and handling. Uncommon kneeling child at prayer design, hallmarks clear and legible. Corners rounded. Hinges/joints in good condition, firm with no splitting. Original black end pages and paste downs. Previous owner black ink inscription on first blank end paper, dated 1906. Overall text block age toned, but generally clean with little signs of use. Contents page has a cracked gutter, but remains firmly attached. Page edges gold gilt, bright with a couple of light scratches.

Overall the book remains in good reading condition. Contents appears little used, an attractive collectible edition.
