Printed by Henry Frowde, at the Oxford University Press, London. Diam 96mo. There is no printed published year, however Henry Frowde served as University printer between 1883-1913, so the book is dated during this period.
CONDITION:
The measures just 3cm x 9cm, 1.5cm thick.
There are various signs of age, use and wear. The cream coloured padded cloth cover is discoloured/dirtied from handling, some darkened patches. Gilt title and cross on front board remains bright. Cover design appears to imitated a Chesterfield Sofa feature, that being the button-tufted upholstery feature. Cover binding holding well, hinges strong. Vertical ink inscription on inside front paste down, reads "Maisie love from Grannie Xmas 1922."
The first and last few end pages are a little foxed. Generally the text block is bright and clear, very little creasing. Contents complete, no loose or missing pages. Binding holding nicely. Page edges gold gilded, a little marked and scuffed.
Overall a pleasant little edition, in uncommon binding, and remaining in good reading condition.
